Sepsis Trieste – II° ed. 2024

The “Sepsis Trieste” congress, scheduled for 20–21 September 2024, will offer a comprehensive overview of current approaches to the diagnosis and management of sepsis, with contributions from prominent international specialists. The programme will address key clinical challenges, ranging from early microbiological assessment to antibiotic strategies and the treatment of organ dysfunction. Researchers from the HERVCOV consortium will contribute to the scientific sessions with two interventions:

• “Human endogenous retroviruses in sepsis” (Claudia Matteucci);
• “CD169 and HLA-DR in blood cells and circulating extracellular vesicles in COVID-19 as markers infection and post-acute sequelae monitoring” (Vita Petrone, Marialaura Fanelli, Rossella Chirico, Chiara Cipriani, Martina Giudice, Luigi Coppola, Elisabetta Teti, Chiara Sorace, Vincenzo Malagnino, Marco Iannetta, Fabrice Malergue, Emanuela Balestrieri, Loredana Sarmati, Sandro Grelli, Antonella Minutolo)
