52nd National Congress of the Italian Society of Microbiology (SIM)

The 52nd National Congress of the Italian Society of Microbiology (SIM), taking place in Pavia from 8 to 11 September 2024, will address key challenges in microbiology through plenary lectures and workshops. Researchers from the HERVCOV consortium will contribute with two scientific interventions:

• The expression of CD169 and HLA-DR in blood cells and circulating microvesicles as a new tool for monitoring SARS-CoV-2 infection and Long COVID associated sequelae: lesson from pandemic waves;
• Multi-parametric profile associated to human endogenous retroviruses defined COVID-19 with respect to Long COVID individuals highlighting the association with specific psychiatric and neurological symptoms.
