CIRI – INSERM
National Institute for Health and Medical Research (INSERM)
National Institute for Health and Medical Research (INSERM) is the only French public research organization entirely dedicated to human health. It brings together 15,000 researchers, engineers and technicians, in more than 350 research structures with a common objective: to improve the health of all, through advances in knowledge about living things and diseases, innovation in treatments and public health research.
The International Center for Infectiology Research (CIRI, https://ciri.ens-lyon.fr) is a joint research unit of the INSERM, CNRS, Lyon 1 University and the ENS de Lyon in partnership with VetAgro Sup, the Institute Pasteur and the Hospices Civils in Lyon. The CIRI gathers the scientific and medical research communities with complementary disciplinary backgrounds grouped in three specialties: virology, bacteriology and immunology, working together with the objective to understand host-microbe interactions to better fight infectious diseases.
Is researcher at CIRI specialized in the study of immunobiology of emerging viruses. His work is dedicated at deciphering immune mechanisms associated to host-pathogen interactions.
PhD is a molecular virologist involved in fundamental and applied research, with experience in the work with BSL4 agents and highly motivated to understand viral immunopathogenesis.
Is an engineer in CIRI. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, 110 cum laude in Italy, then Master’s in Infection Biology in Sweden and is now focusing on Immunovirology of SARS-CoV-2. Investigator of the Research Group in Primary Health Care at the “Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria de Aragón” (IISA)
PhD, has experience in the research of the virus assembly (HIV-1, HCV, HBV). She is currently post-doctoral researcher, studding immunobiology of SARS-CoV-2 and Nipah virus.
PhD in neurovirology, is engineer at INSERM since 1995, studding HIV nucleoprotein, viral RNA translation and now SARS-CoV-2 immunopathogenesis. He is laboratory manager of ENS BSL3.
