Annual outreach event 2024 – Zaragoza

On May 20 and 21, the Annual Meeting of the HERVCOV project took place at the Instituto Aragonés de Ciencias de la Salud (IACS) and IIS Aragón in Zaragoza. On May 21, an outreach event aimed at engaging the general public was held. Families, students, and citizens participated in various interactive activities, including a “virtual” walk through the HERVCOV laboratories using virtual reality, a challenging quiz with prizes designed to explore endogenous retroviruses, and “Biology Challenge,” an outreach game inspired by DOBBLE. The latter was developed by Bioscienza Responsabile, an Italian association for science communication comprising researchers from the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” and a partner of the Frascati Scienza network
