The 32nd International Workshop on Retroviral Pathogenesis (RETROPATH 2022) will explore current advances in retroviral pathogenesis and host–virus interactions. As part of the scientific programme, Hervé Perron will present the contribution “SARS-CoV-2 induces expression of a proinflammatory human endogenous retrovirus envelope protein in COVID-19 patients,” addressing the activation of HERV-W ENV during SARS-CoV-2 infection.
