9th National Congress of the Italian Society for Cytometric Cell Analysis (ISCCA)

Following their participation in the 8th ISCCA National Congress, HERVCOV researchers will also contribute to the 9th edition, which will take place in Verona from May 20 to 22, 2026, at the Polo Didattico “Giorgio Zanotto” of the University of Verona. The event will provide an opportunity for specialists in cytometric cell analysis to exchange knowledge on recent methodological advances and their applications in research and clinical practice. The programme will address different areas of flow cytometry, including immunology, extracellular vesicles, haematological diseases, computational approaches and emerging diagnostic applications, while also offering space for keynote lectures, oral communications, poster sessions and scientific discussion. Within this framework, the HERVCOV consortium will be represented through two scientific interventions:

– “Interplay Between HERV Reactivation, Myeloid Activation, and Extracellular Vesicles in Acute COVID-19 and Long COVID; (Antonella Minutolo);

– “Innovative markers in flow cytometry for early diagnosis of sepsis in the era of emerging infectious diseases”. (Claudia Matteucci)
