8th National Congress of the Italian Society for Cytometric Cell Analysis (ISCCA)

The 8th ISCCA National Congress will take place in Verona from May 29 to 31, 2024, at the Polo Zanotto of the University. Verona, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its historical and cultural heritage and its proximity to Lake Garda, will provide an ideal setting for the congress.

The scientific programme will include sessions on conventional and spectral cytometry, imaging techniques, single-cell analysis, integration of cytometric and omics data, functional cytometry, computational approaches and data standardisation. Key application areas will cover immunology, haematology and veterinary medicine, along with symposia organised in collaboration with AMCLI and FIL, as well as sponsored scientific contributions. Space will be dedicated to young researchers through invited and selected oral presentations, while poster sessions will feature guided discussions and awards for the best contributions.

Within this framework, researchers from the HERVCOV consortium will participate with two scientific interventions:

• “Dynamic expression of CD169 and HLA-DR in blood cells and circulating microvesicles in COVID-19 and Long COVID: new insights by nanoscale flow cytometry” (C. Matteucci, A. Minutolo);

• “Characterization of T-cell immunodysfunction in COVID-19 patients and its persistent dysregulation in Long COVID individuals” (Vita Petrone, Antonella Minutolo, Marialaura Fanelli, Rossella Chirico, Chiara Cipriani, Luigi Coppola, Elisabetta Teti, Chiara Sorace, Vincenzo Malagnino, Marco Iannetta, Emanuela Balestrieri, Alexandre Lucas, Sandro Grelli, Loredana Sarmati, Claudia Matteucci).
